Bring it Back Around - Unreleased

Bring It Back Around was entirely fan-funded through Kickstarter, and part of that journey was letting backers vote on which songs made it onto the album. There was a lot of great discussion, but not everything could make the cut—including a few of my personal favorites. I wanted to share a couple of those unreleased tracks with you here. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Smells Like Teen Spirit

I had high hopes for this one because it’s the kind of song that would hit completely differently in a country style. That line, "I feel stupid," sung with all that raw emotion, feels like it belongs in a country song somewhere. It’s the kind of lyric that carries so much honesty and vulnerability—exactly what makes country music resonate so deeply.

Going Away to College

Here’s another example of a Blink-182 song that captures such raw, sensitive emotional energy around unrequited love. I feel like they don’t get enough credit for how deeply they tap into those feelings.
